March of Giants is on Steam as a free-to-play 4v4 MOBA, but it is not purchasable yet: the store page says "This game is not yet available on Steam" and lists the release date as coming soon. You can wishlist it, request access to playtests from the same page, and read the full PC requirements, which are published in detail.
The store page in brief
The app is March of Giants at store page 1924600, filed under Strategy Games. The one-line pitch reads: "Free-to-play 4v4 MOBA where you lead an army, not just a hero. Play as a towering Giant, rally hundreds of Soldiers, and deploy Battleworks that turn familiar lanes into shifting front lines."
The listing credits "March of Giants Team" as developer and Ubisoft as publisher, with a genre line of Action, Simulation, Strategy and Free To Play. The popular user tags are Free to Play, MOBA, Multiplayer, Strategy, PvP and Action+.
Steam also flags it as supporting Online PvP, Online Co-op and Family Sharing, and the store note warns that the game "doesn't look like other things you've played in the past," so Steam has little data to base recommendations on.
Release date, reviews and access
The release date field says "Coming soon," and the page repeats that the game is not yet available. There is no purchase option, only an "Add to your wishlist" button and a notification prompt for when it becomes available.
Reviews are empty by definition: Steam shows "No user reviews," and the page states plainly that "there are no reviews for this product." Curators are separate, and seven curators have reviewed it, but that is not a review score.
Access to the playtest runs through the same page. The store text says "Request access below to join future playtests," which matches the official instructions to click Request Access and wait for a Steam notification email.
Accounts, anti-cheat and EULA
Two requirements matter before you download. Under third-party accounts, Steam lists "Requires 3rd-Party Account: Ubisoft Connect launcher (Supports Linking to Steam Account)," so a Ubisoft account is mandatory.
The page also lists "Uses Kernel Level Anti-Cheat: Easy Anti-Cheat," along with a required third-party EULA identified as the March of Giants EULA. That combination is typical for competitive online games but is the most common complaint in community threads.
Content disclosures are listed too. Steam records "In-game chat, Online interactivity" under interactive elements, and the developer describes the game as possibly containing content not appropriate for all ages due to "Frequent Fantasy Violence."
Minimum system requirements
The minimum specification targets 1080p at 75 percent render scale, 60 FPS and low quality settings, and requires a 64-bit processor and operating system.
The listed baseline is Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-11600 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100, 8 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 with 4 GB or an AMD Radeon RX 6400 with 4 GB. DirectX 12, a broadband internet connection and 15 GB of available space are also required.
Two footnotes are worth reading. Steam states that "PC specifications will evolve over time," and that "persistent internet connection required to play," which rules out offline play.
Recommended system requirements
The recommended specification targets 1440p at 100 percent render scale, 60 FPS and high quality settings, on the same operating system requirements.
That means Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, an Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, and 16 GB of RAM. For graphics, Steam recommends an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 Super with 8 GB or an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT with 8 GB.
DirectX 12, broadband and 15 GB of storage apply to both tiers, and the same caveats about evolving specifications and a persistent connection are repeated under recommended.
Languages and AI disclosure
Steam lists four languages with full support across interface, full audio and subtitles: English, French, German, and Spanish (Spain). No other languages are listed on the store page, and the developer's regional access post confirms the same set for the playtest.
There is also an AI generated content disclosure. The developers state that "some game and marketing content was translated with the assistance of AI tools," which is worth knowing if you are comparing localised text across languages.
Accessibility is flagged but not detailed: Steam shows "Accessibility Features (4)" as a collapsed item, so the four specific features are 待确认 until you expand them on the live page.
News, roadmap and the Discord Quest
The store page carries a "Recent Events & Announcements" panel. The two items at the time of writing were the Discord Quest offering an exclusive avatar decoration, dated October 9, 2026, and the "Upcoming Playtest Roadmap 2026-2027" from the same day.
The Discord Quest is a cosmetic promotion rather than a game update, and it is separate from the playtest rewards you keep at launch. The roadmap covers further playtests and Early Access in 2027, and no final release date appears anywhere on the page.
The "About This Game" block repeats the four official pillars: the Soldier System, Battleworks, Giants built for war, and fighting "on an unprecedented scale." If you want the systems explained rather than listed, the gameplay guide covers them.
How to request playtest access on Steam
Access begins on the store page. The instructions are to visit the March of Giants Steam page, click Request Access, and wait: if you are selected, Steam sends a notification email and the game appears in your library for download.
The subreddit developer post adds two clarifications. Everyone in a supported region who already signed up is granted access, and September 2025 Closed Alpha participants do not need to do anything. The playtest is only open to North America and Europe, with servers in those regions.
You will still need an Ubisoft Account and Ubisoft Connect installed before you can play, even though the request itself happens on Steam.
What coming soon means for wishlisting
A coming soon listing is not a release date. It means the store page is live, the game is not purchasable, and Steam will notify you when that changes if you wishlist it.
Steam follow options matter here as well: you can wishlist the game, follow it for update posts, or ignore it, and the page also offers a queue view. Following is how you catch news posts such as the Discord Quest without reading the site feed.
The release date field will change only when Ubisoft sets one. Early Access is planned for Summer 2027, but Steam does not reflect plans, only confirmed dates.
Platform and performance notes
March of Giants is currently a PC-only listing. There is no console or mobile version on Steam, and the client requires Windows 10 or 11 64-bit with DirectX 12 and a persistent internet connection.
Steam does not list Steam Deck compatibility for the game in the material collected here, so whether it is verified or playable on handheld should be treated as 待确认 rather than assumed from the tag list.
Both specification tiers describe a game aimed at mid-range hardware rather than a high-end rebuild, with 15 GB of storage and broadband as the baseline requirements.
