Deployment
Side lanes and jungle edges, where he can pick off players who wander away from the wave.
How It Works
Wolfgang runs on a second resource. Rage builds from fighting, and the moment it fills he has access to a completely different, more lethal version of his kit. Managing that cycle is the entire character.
He is a carry who wants isolated targets. Howling Hunt reveals the map, which turns a pick-off play into a guaranteed one because nobody can hide from the follow-up.
Strategy
Farm first. Wolfgang reaches his real power after Warshell upgrades, and every early death delays that window.
Chain of Rage is your setup, not your finisher. Pull a target out of their team, then transform and finish them before help arrives.
Tips
- Only transform when you are committing — the untransformed kit is genuinely weak.
- Warbound Savagery's damage reduction makes trading into a Giant far better than chasing a soldier wave.
- If you fall behind, stop fighting and farm the side lanes.
FAQ
How hard is Wolfgang to play?
The hardest tier in the playtest. His combos depend on rage management, and a mistimed transform leaves you with a basic kit.
When is Wolfgang strongest?
Late. He needs Warshell upgrades before his damage and sustain line up, so he is a farming pick first.
What is Wolfgang weak to?
Anything that punishes his approach. Trenchmaw's blind and slow make the lunge a death sentence.
